It's Showtime At New York Fashion Week
Showtime is approaching fast for the unveiling of designers' Autumn 2012 Collections at New York Fashion Week. In NYC, I'll be around and about - running across town, trying to catch a glimpse of as many up-and-coming designers as I can. The anticipation is building for some exciting shows and events.
What am I jumping out of my seat to see this season?
- Gretchen Jones
- past Project Runway Winner and self-taught designer. Her inaugural
show at NYFW last season blew my mind. Can't wait to see what she's got
up her sleeve for AW 2012!
- The GreenShows
at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center - this is the first
ever presentation of a collection of ethical designers in the Tents at
New York Fashion Week. Featuring collections by Study NY, Ajna, Bamboo by United Bamboo, United Bamboo, H. Fredriksson, The Battalion, Luis Valenzuela, and Artists & Revolutionaries. This is a large statement in the sustainable fashion realm. The presentation will be styled by renowned stylist Julie Ragolia and held in the Box.
- Titania Inglis - Recently awarded the 2012 Ecco Domani Sustainable Design Award,
Titania's designs are layered with details and seriously constructed.
Definitely anticipating this show at one of my favorite venues -
Eyebeam.
- Suzanne Rae
- Known for her flowing feminine, yet comfort-driven pieces, Suzanne
Rae will be showing at the Box at Lincoln Center for the first time this
season. Her past collections have garnered a strong nostalgia in me for the beach and a warm, summer breeze.
